In the technological process of producing powdered milk, only the water is removed, and the fat content is mainly normalized. Powdered milk is a source of vitamins and minerals, such as magnesium, calcium, zinc, potassium and phosphorus.

Skimmed milk powder is a product obtained from skimmed milk. SMP contains up to 4% water and up to 1.5% milk fat, and the minimum milk protein content is 34%. The shelf life of skimmed milk powder is greater than that of whole milk powder.
